17. Challenge From Space
Voltron version: My Brother Is A Robeast
King Heracles and his son, Prince Samson (Avok), of Planet Heracles (Pollux), go to Galra Castle in the hopes of helping Galra defeat GoLion. There is a long-standing grudge between Heracles and Altea, and the King offers up his eldest son Samson as he believes the lad would make a powerful beastman. Strong enough, even, to destroy GoLion. Sincline is enraged by this suggestion, and demands that Samson first defeat a warrior in the arena or Samson's head will be Sincline's "on the spot".
The arena fight doesn't go Sincline's way, and he ends up challenging Samson directly. However, when Sincline catches sight of Samson's younger sister, Princess Amue (Romelle), he is so taken by her resemblance to Fala that he loses the match. Samson will become a beastman, but Sincline has another focus - wooing this doppleganger for Fala.
She and her younger brother, Prince Alor (Bandor), see Sincline as a "true warrior" and deem him a fair man. Alor even aspires to be like Sincline. Months later, preparations for the attack are finished on Heracles, and Sincline visits the planet.
Altea is issued a challenge by Heracles. Raible explains taht Heracles is a wandering planet, coming close to Altea once every 18 to 20 years. The grudge between the worlds is described similarly to how it was in the dub - there were two Altean brothers and one was sent by the King of Altea to the wandering planet. Kogane wants to talk things out with those on Heracles, seeing this grudge as petty. The heroes launch for Heracles, their plan being to talk not fight.
Meanwhile, King Heracles reveals to a select few his real plan - to use Galra to settle his score with Altea but then he'll turn on Galra. Jaga is lurking and overhears the trecherous plot.
Later, the team sneaks into the castle on Heracles. Amue now feels Sincline is not a fair person at all and tries to convince Alor that allying themselves with the dark prince is a mistake. Alor refuses to listen, for he still admires Sincline. When the two cousins meet up, Fala is able to reach Amue with her pleas of resisting Galra and talking out their differences. But then Galra attacks and the team must go.
During the battle between GoLion and the beastman version of Samson, Sincline grows impatient. He orders Gobra (Mogor) to destroy them both. King Heracles tries to avenge the attack on Samson, but is killed himself in the process. Galran guards take Amue hostage, leaving only little Alor behind. Upon leaving Heracles, Sincline is angry at Gobra for not capturing Fala.
Afterward, the heroes console Alor, and make a pact with him to bring down Galra together and rescue Amue.

"She's the spitting image of my Princess Fala." - Sincline, upon seeing Amue.
"I only admired Sincline's strength and didn't see him for what he was." - Alor, regretfully at the graveside of his father and brother.
Major Cuts:
Some of the messier bits while Amue's family is being killed were cut, as well as parts of the graveside scene with Alor at the end.
Facts:
The planet being called Heracles actually makes the whole Spartan look make sense.
