40. No Tomorrow for Altea
Voltron version: The Little Prince
In part two from the previous episode, Sincline takes advantage of the absense of GoLion to terrorize Altea. Meanwhile, Prince Alor and his fleet try to lift GoLion off Space Wolf after they can raise no response from the GoLion team. The Galra fleet closes in, destroying all but Alor's flagship. They are knocked off course, spinning out into space.
Sincline orders a mechablack beastman to finish off what is left of Altea. Meanwhile, Alor comes to and decides he must help defend Altea now that they have lost GoLion. The attack is brutal, with the Alteans that have taken shelter in the castle wondering why GoLion fails to show up and defend them.
A space goddess ends up restoring GoLion's faded energy, allowing them to lift off Space Wolf before it self-destructs. Alor arrives to help on Altea, but is soon in a bind as Sincline uses his sister Amue to keep him at bay, threatening her very life. Right before he surrenders, GoLion reappears and quickly claims victory.
Sincline escapes with Amue, despite Alor's anguish. Blaming Alor for GoLion's return (he thinks Alor successfully rescued GoLion), he has Amue executed. She instead falls into a pit, after she heard a voice telling her to remain still. As she lay at the bottom of the hole, a man approaches...
Cuts:
Battle deaths of Alteans were cut. Sincline's abuse of Amue was also cut.
