38. GoLion Hunting
Voltron version: Raid of the Red Berets
In this episode, the Death Commandos are unleashed by Galra on Altea. Through the night and into the morning, they attack 21 people in ten locations, the GoLion team discovering one group of murdered people in the morning.
While trying to solve the mystery of who the attackers are, the Altean people storm the castle wanting to take refuge inside. Raible and Kogane hesitate to let the people in, worried this unknown enemy has slipped into the crowd and this might be their over all strategy to get inside the castle. However, nobody wants to see more innocent lives lost.
Raible comes up with a plan to let the people in - he wishes to do so by neighborhood, so that those coming in will know one another. Anyone not recognized will be isolated, suspected of being the enemy. The plan works, and the enemy shows themselves. Kogane seems to easily take care of them but their suicide mission wasn't without cause. They crash into Black Lion, and incapacitate it with some substance.
Meanwhile, the other four try to deal with the beastman, while Raible lets the people into the castle. After some thoughts, they figure out how to free Black Lion from the gummy substance so that the Lions can combine to achieve victory. Kogane vows to keep up the fight til the Galra Empire fails.
