Name: Drules
Basic Appearance & Info: This is a race of people, whose skin tone is a odd bluish tint, and their eyes an eerie blood red. Most seen in the series have stark white hair, although there are a few yellow haired or dark-haired Drules in the bunch.
Though we mostly see maniacal military Drules in the story, as a whole, the Drule people are just as much victims of the ongoing struggle with the Alliance as anyone else. Their entire existance hinges on whether their leaders wake up and stop fighting long enough to find them a new home, given the planet Drule is dying.
Role and/or special abilities: It's their neck of the cosmos the Alliance had "invaded" in their explorations, and the Drule higher-ups do their best to drive them out by force. The Drules appear very innovative as far as technologically - not to mention quite resourceful, given they created a whole intricate underground system to keep their people sheltered and safe while the planet dies around them. However, that can't quite match the wonder that is Voltron.
Major Episode Appearances: Obviously, Drules have a large role in the story, though there are a TON of commanders that come and go - some only as long as one episode experience before they "disappear" (usually meaning they died in the original anime). Major players include Hazar, his sister Dorma, Throk, Nerok, Keezor and Mongo. Zeppo is their Emperor, but he makes surprisingly few actual appearances though his likeness if everywhere in the form of paitings. Few female Drules feature prominently, though Dorma and Twila are exceptions.
It's not really until the last half dozen or so episodes we really see past their crazy leaders and are shown the heart and strength of their people.
