9. A Very Short Vacation

Synopsis: The crew of the Explorer has been on constant alert while waiting for the supply convoy. With no sign of Hazar or his lackeys in sight, Hawkins consider letting his crew rest as some have already collapsed from exhaustion. They decide to land on nearby Planet Nanos, and Jeff’s team is sent out to scout the area for Drules. Ginger notices something, but Jeff is so eager to rest he brushes it aside. The Explorer touches down in a lake and the VF enjoys a peaceful swim – a possible relationship between Ginger and Jeff is hinted at as well. The R & R doesn’t last for long, as Mongo moves in on he coming supply fleet while Zabar keeps the Explorer crew busy with an attack of his own. In the end, all but two ships in the convoy was destroyed and Jeff is chastised by Hawkins for missing Zabar’s fleet hiding in the north.
