Main Featured Characters: Jeff, Cric, Lisa, Shannon, Tangor, Zandee, Cinda, Cliff, Commander Hawkins, Captain Newley, Sparks, Commander Hazar, Captain Mongo (aka Malvor), Captain Quark, Viceroy Throk Original U.S. Air Date: 11/10/1984* Synopsis: Hazar is reprimanded by Throk because, despite driving the VV force off a planet, he destroyed the planet in the process. Hazar assures Quark that the Voltron Force, though still around, is not a threat as they drift aimlessly through space. Hazar also reveals that they have a spy on the command ship, and he reports that the VV force is relaxing and listening to music, which Hazar deems a waste of time. His hope is that the team gets so discouraged, they just go home thus saving the Drules valuable time and resources having to fight them. Mongo begs Hazar to let him enact a plan to rid them of the VV force once and for all. Back on the Explorer, the others notice something has been bothering Cric. Hazar and Mongo (though he's called "Malvor" here) discuss his plan, which is to drive the VV force near a string of black holes called the Sea of Holes, and then into a black hole where they'll never return. To trick them inside the hole, they plan to use a fake distress signal, thus dooming them "by their own compassion and gullability", as Hazar put it. Cric has assured the captain that there's a planet ahead, but they soon realize it's behind a string of black holes. That's when they get the fake distress signal. Newley is skeptical, but Hawkins declares they are duty bound to help, no matter what the risk. The sea team is then launched to investigate and told to stay in constant contact. After forming the Aqua Fighter, they move in. Contact fades for a moment, and they worry about ion forces draining their ships' energy while Cric wonders if the signal was a hoax. Suddenly, the sea team notices a bunch of UFOs behind them that seem to be forcing them toward the center of the black hole. Hawkins orders them back, but it's easier said than done. The sea team soon realizes that they are the ship in distress! Just as the Sea Team approaches something on their radar, the Explorer loses contact with them. Cric worries that this is like a nightmare he has had before, and he's afraid he knows the outcome. A meteor is what lay ahead, and when a robeast emerges from behind it, they realize this was a trap set by Hazar afterall. While the Sea Team fights for their lives, Hawkins and Newley decide they gotta have help and dispatch the other teams. Just when things look the worst for the Sea Team, the others arrive. Voltron is formed almost immediately, but with the energy of the black hole zapping theirs, the Voltron Force try to get the robeast to follow them out. It works, but while fleeing they come upon Mongo's command ship. Voltron tries to pursue the command ship, but the robeast wraps cables around Voltron and pulls him back. The fight doesn't last much longer before the Robeast is defeated. At end of the battle, Jeff asks Cric how he seems to know what's going to happen before it does. Cric explains that he has a sixth sense aliens wouldn't understand, and to prove it, he tells Jeff that Hawkins is about to call him on the intercom. And he's right - Hawkins calls to say the planet Cric said would be there has been found, just beyond the black hole cluster. comment system disabled temporarily thanks to spam happy assholes!
