A portion of the Air Team escapes a trap using the Drules own ships.

Main Featured Characters: Jeff, Ginger, Rocky, Chip, Wolo, Commander Hawkins, Commander Hazar, Dorma, Captain Shigormo, Commander Borgam
Original U.S. Air Date: 02/06/1985*

Synopsis: This one starts out with the Explorer and fleet exiting the 37th star system. Inside the Explorer, Jeff and the others discuss the last episode with Jeff hopeful for peace with the Drules now that Hazar seems so willing. But the others are more cautiously optimistic, and wonder if it was wise to leave such a small force back on the planet. At any rate, the teams launch to explore for new worlds.

Meanwhile on Dreska, Hazar ruminates about the failed agreement with the Alliance. Speaking with Dorma, he wonders aloud why the high command won't give up their arms for the sake of a planet to settle given the dire straits their home world is now in. Borgam arrives to let Hazar know the high command has send a squadron to planet 10 to take it by force - which is just what Hazar feared.

Coincidently, the Voltron Force are also closing in on Planet 10 and Air Team decides to investigate. The planet is an ice ball, being so fall out in the solar system. The Drules are waiting for them and decide to pretend they're stranded and helpless there.

Back on Dreska, Captain Shigormo arrives with a message for Hazar. Before Hazar attends the meeting with Shigormo, Dorma pleads with him to escape with some loyalists to another planet so that they can gather strength and rise up against the war mongers. However, Hazar declares he's a loyal Drule who can't bring himself to plot against the Empire. Shigormo's news is that Hazar is relieved of his command - with Borgam as his successor - and ordered to return home. After Hazar leaves, Shigormo lets Borgam know that Hazar is finished for he is to be court martialed on his arrival home.

On Planet 10, the air team comes upon the Drule ships which appear to be abandoned. After they get no answer when trying to communicate with the ships, the Air Team investigates on foot. They find the ramp down on one of the ships and go inside - well, all but Ginger, who goes to contact the others - after Jeff dismisses the idea of a trap. Jeff, Rocky and Wolo penetrate deeper into the ship and leave Chip on guard by the door. Once word of what the Air Team is up to gets back to Hawkins, he has the other teams launch to help.

Inside the ship, Jeff and the others reach the central control area and find what appears to be fallen Drule soldiers. At first, Jeff figures his hunch about a ship wreck was right. Unfortunately, the downed soldiers were faking it and they spring up to surround the trio. Once the firing starts, Chip considers going to help but the ship starts to take off. So instead, he jumps out to join Ginger in the Stratofighter. Though they're able to fly the combined ships, they don't do so well - especially against a robeast. Luckily, the other teams show up in time to save them.

Meanwhile, Jeff, Rocky and Wolo are running for their lives while trying to escape the ship. They come upon the Drule's hangar and commandeer 3 of their fighter ships to escape. Once free, Ginger picks them all up and it's Voltron time! It was pretty cool that the Robeast melts the spinning laser blades in mid-air, heh heh. Voltron may have met his match. Of course, eventually Voltron prevails. In the end, Jeff gets chewed out by Hawkins for going into the Drule ship.
