Original U.S. Air Date: 12/27/1984* Synopsis: The Explorer and her crew are off to explore yet another world. However, Jeff can't get all the fighting out of his head and flashes back to their last battle. At least Hawkins has some good news. Not only have 5 new planets joined the Galaxy Alliance but they're going to be part of a special task foce called the Troubleshooters. Furthermore, they're going to be headed by Captain Newley. Meanwhile, the Drules also have a vested interest in the planet the Voltron Force is about to explore, Planet Crona. It's similar to Earth and so the Drules think it'd be the idea location to test their latest Robeast. After some arguing about whether to invade Earth after testing or use the Robeast to get rid of Voltron first, it's decided to do the latter. Captain Mozan, who sports an eye patch and a raspy voice, is on the planet already and decides to wait for the perfect time to ambush the unsuspecting Voltron Force. Jeff and the others are looking forward to just relaxing - which is what Mozan wants...he's decided to strike when the teams get out of their ships. To make matters worse, the Explorer is having trouble with long distance communications and must land to make repairs. Once the Explorer lands, some of the crew and Voltron Force talk Hawkins into letting them go ashore for some recreation. Hawkins is reluctant but gives in, thinking it's safe enough with no sign of the Drules. As night falls, the crew enjoys camp fires on the beach and just to be safe, some of the Voltron Force remains on the lookout. The first sign of trouble is Cric and Cinda agreeing that something doesn't feel right, so they go to investigate. Sure enough, they come upon some Drules scouting out the beach area and begin blasting them (by the way, for robots, they sure shoot some red blood when shot lol). Mozan chooses this time to strike. Everyone makes it back to the ships but Cric and Cinda who were pinned down by Drule forces. Hawkins also realizes it's the Drules that have jammed their long-distance communications so they can't call for help either. With all the boats gone, Cric and Cinda have to swim for it - luckily, they're from a water world so at least it comes natural! The Drules come out swinging with their latest robeast, which supposedly has lasers so powerful they'll melt Voltron (as Jeff put it, "It looks like a big, ugly metal crab"). The teams manage to hold off the Robeast until Cinda and Cric are rescued and launch - now it's Voltron time! Voltron gets into trouble fast as the robeast drags him under water and proceeds to short him out. The Explorer is taking some lumps, too, and Hawkins considers surrender but realizes the Drules wouldn't be civilized enough to honor it. Just in time, Captain Newley's fleet shows up to tip the balance - conveniently enough he found them with the help of a new "super radar". Voltron soon dispatches the robeast. comment system disabled temporarily thanks to spam happy assholes! Back to Ep List
