What is the purpose of the Newsletter?

To tell you the truth, I'm not that into news and collecting for the franchise, though I will pass along that info when I hear of it on the list. Just don't count on it being the exclusive or you-heard-it-here-first type.

So why join? Well, for one thing I'm not always going to post around the fandom when the site updates. So you can either join and get those emails via the list or just check back frequently to catch updates.

However, that's not the only reason to join. I'm going to be posting files at that group that won't make the main, public site here for one reason or another. I also may release my fan fiction there first before posting it to my other usual archives of choice - and they'll be in their un-molested doc formats. So if you follow my writing, bonus for you!
Also, if my hosting goes on the blink, that'll be a great place to find out what's wrong and when I'll be back.

Otherwise, I may do periodic contests and give-aways of Voltron items I've got lying around. So if you want a shot at that stuff, please join up.

Who can join? And what can members do there?

Anyone is welcome to join. You don't necessarily have to have a Yahoo ID to sign up. You can also select what email options you want.

As a member, you can access special files I upload there or see urls I may leave in messages to certain things I've made exclusive for members to download.

You can use the list like any other Yahoo group, too, to discuss Voltron or share your own files and fan works - as, you never know...my automated fic and art archives can be befuddling, so you may just find Yahoo easier. So have at it.

Polls may be taken every now and then to get member opinion about changes to the main site (or just some goofy Voltron related polls), and you're welcome to post input to those matters on the list.
