Notes on Iris

Basic Premise: This was born out of another challege from the Voltron's Fancy group, called a lyric wheel. The song "Iris" was randomly given to me and I had to write something based around that. I've always looked at Sven and Romelle as a strong love, but one that was going to be doomed by one circumstance or another. Hence, the bittersweet telling of Romelle's wedding day from Sven's POV.

Began/Completed: July 2005

Parts: One shot, so just...one.

Setting: LV series on planet Pollux.

Sequels? I've got a companion piece possibly brewing - see my notes elsewhere on that.

Direct canon references: I took some liberties with the One Princess To Another episode, during a flashback sequence. And otherwise played on the S2 idea that Sven seemed to think her being royalty and he being "just a regular guy" wasn't going to let it work for them.
