December 8, 2006

Didn't quite get to everything agian, but here's something for you to check out:
-- The video part of the multimedia area got a good update. First off, Kyence's brilliant head-on commercial spoof is available on the Other Clips page. I've also added a host of other music videos to Music Video page, including one from yours truly featuring Yurak's last appearance in the show. It tastefully fades to black while the poor bastard still has the upper hand.
-- I added some more still cuts from GoLion to the gallery. There's also various new scanned bits in the gallery from games and other items I've gotten and scanned in.
-- I also updated the GoLion clips page quite a bit, with some cut scenes for you to download. To those who wanted clips from the first four eps, I regret that I can't supply those - I can only take stills. The stuff I use to rip clips from dvds refuses to process that disc for some reason! I tried!
-- The Print Media page got a makeover and two color books to download in pdf format. I have two more books to scan, these being Super Books, but that'll have to wait for next time!
-- The Fan Fic archive got a software upgrade. I have to skin it to match again, but I think you'll enjoy the updated features of 3.0 as well as a spam guard so I can turn on anon reviews again! Sorry, but my LISTD fic got delayed and didn't make the cut this update. Hopefully...next time.
The forum also got a software update. I also updated the calendar there to reflect the delay on the Yellow Tin release.
-- Also, the links page got updated a bit. I've also opened the new tfl.org approaved K & A Fan List. Come by and join.
-- Lastly, the FAQ page got a bit of an update regarding LV's Adult Swim airings and what to do about files that may download as 'corrupt'.

And here is part two of the promised big update on the LV side of things:
-- The character profiles got tweaked ever so slightly, adding a few of the anime names to certain profiles.
-- I added some still cuts from GoLion to the gallery.
-- I also updated the GoLion clips page quite a bit, with some cut scenes for you to download. It's sure to expand as I go through the dvds I got. Thanks Coldy!
-- Fan fic archives were updated, including another installment my Love Is Stronger Than Death story. Robin Girl has also joined the archive and has added serveral new stories. Check them out!
-- Someone requested a clip of Sven returning as pilot of Blue Lion, though breifly, in season two. So I added that to the video clips page.

Wow, I had a busy end to my summer. But I bring you at least a partial update, with more to come soon. I didn't quite get to the golion stuff and some other clips, as that takes more time than other things, but it's something to look forward to. In the mean time, here's some stuff I think you'll be pleased with:
-- First of all, there's been some notable fanlisting changes. I adopted the Lotor-Allura pairing fanlist from ebon drake called Opposites Attract. Please join if you enjoy that couple, even if as a rivalry and not "together".
I've also added a new affilate and generous donated icons to my Princess Allura fanlisting.
-- The weapons guide was updated again with one more item this time.
-- The dvd now has up-to-date info on it.
-- I added more printed material scans to the page thanks to wins off ebay with more to come soon as well.
-- The gallery was updated all the way to ep 30. Also, the episode review area was updated with the appropriate captures, again up to the Sleeping Princess.
-- There's a new spam-free guestbook installed so please sign it if you get the chance!
-- I also updated the FAQ a little.
-- Fan fic also saw updates, including two more installments to the AU Sleeping Princess fic I'm writing, here called Love Is Stronger Than Death.
-- There's a new clip section to the site that will feature other things Voltron starred or was mentioned in besides the series, and I put up the Robot Chicken clip Voltron Got Served first. If you have something to donate, by all means send it on.
-- Finally, the links got some updates with several new sites making the cut along with the unleashing of a new thing called the "featured link". Check it out.

Tonight's updates include:
-- The weapons guide was updated, thanks to some helpful emails from various folks and my going back over the eps again. I have more to do, I realize, but at least there's more there for now. Thanks!
-- There's a brand new area of the site for printed material I scanned in. So far it's home to pdf format Modern Comics and the old story books.
-- The gallery was updated again with captions and 3 more episodes' worth of intensive capturing, plus a few new scans up in that area, including another old fan club letter I unearthed. Also, the episode review area was updated with the appropriate captures, up to episode 20.
-- Cheezey was nice enough to let me host one of her latest videos, this one featuring Lotor and Merla.
-- I've made a Live Jounral community for Voltron called voltron unite.
-- Moved and updated my contact page.
-- I also added a page with my Voltron journey on it, giving my history with the series and why I'm 31 and still loving it, for those who care.

I wanted to add fan fic as well, but ran out of time to edit and polish before the weekend. So maybe next time!
Also, I just got a set of GoLion eps in the mail - all of the eps! - so finally...I can add some cut stills, clips and all that jazz starting with the next wave of updates. Something to look forward to, eh? These don't have subtitles so I probably won't be able to tell you much plot-wise, but the uncut violence should be amusing enough :)

Wow this one was long overdue! On this side, I only got to a few things but I hope to add more soon.
-- The fandom awards have long-concluded with the closing of the fan fic polls, but I neglected to report that in the updates even though I updated the pages some time ago. Oops. Proud to also add an awards page to the site showcasing the things I won. Thanks to all who showed your support. I'm endlessly flattered!
-- Speaking of fic, I put up the start of a purely LV venture called Love Is Stronger Than Death. It's another WiP, with the first two parts up already.
-- The gallery saw the addition of 100s of new captures, and I also sorted them in the episode review area so that they're grouped in that fashion. Soon I'll cross-reference the two pages and eventually do all the eps that way. I've only got up to ep 17 done so far.
-- The message board switched to new and improved software and is now linked up sitewide. It's skinned anew too. You'll be happy to know users and old posts survived the move and I hope everyone enjoys the new board.

I have also gotten the emails about weaponry and I thank you. I'm working on it, but I have to do more research and take appropriate screen shots - it takes time, which I'm short on anymore. I thank you for your patience.
Also, to those of you who keep requesting lots of GoLion clips and such, I've put up a note on that page that explains my lack of episodes. All I have in DVD quality is the one ep included on the madman set, and a few other odd n' end encodes from a friend. If and when I get a complete set, I promise to better fill requests. Thanks!

A few items are updated for you today:
-- The fandom awards have concluded the art award portion of polling, and I've added all the nominees and winners to a page in that section. Congrats to everyone - the art is outstanding. Fan fic polls are open and currently going on, so go support your favorite authors and stories!
-- I see Ambitiger has updated her True Love Revealed fan fiction.
-- I added a bit of artwork to my gallery. I'd posted it in a few other places before so to some of you it might not be new, but to others...it may very well be.

After some delay, I've some fresh updates for ye:
-- First of all someone is new to the fan fic archive and has shared their LV fic with us. Go check out Ambitiger's story.
-- The fandom awards have concluded the site award portion of polling, and I've added all the nominees and winners to a page in that section. I am also excited to report that this very site took in some six of those awards, and I have proudly displayed them here. Thank you for supporting this site!
-- I made a page for the upcoming DVD release. I've also updated the site FAQ to reflect these developments, as well as the art faq to reflect the increased space allotment for fan art (bumped to 20MB per user) and new file type allowances.
-- To celebrate the coming DVD, I also uploaded a drinking game for LV. Of course, if you have the Aussie set or otherwise have access to episodes, you can get a head start!
-- The links saw some updates, mostly harkening the change ups in the official site lineup and giving it its own area. Plus a few fan sites got added or tweaked.
-- Otherwise, I've done some minor site maitenance and changed the footers and menus up a bit. The usual stuff ;)

Some style changes for you mostly, tonight:
-- You might have noticed the site got an overhaul with a new link system and other style tweaks.
-- The sitemap got an update. I also updated my author's notes a tad for my fan fics.
-- I made a page just for info on the new mail list. I've already added some files to the group that aren't on the site, with more to come in the future so consider joining.
-- I also added a disclaimer page to the site.
-- Lastly, updated the url to KK60's PLUCK site in the links.

Here's a drive-by update for you tonight:
-- I uploaded a sketch of mine to the gallery. Hopefully I'll have some finished bits for next update.
-- Omicron offered up some very nice wallpapers that you can download for your desktop.
-- Some tweaking and updating have happened to the links.
-- I updated The Voltron Fandom Awards slightly again - basically, the nominee list got some updates, and yes, I do need to do more. Also be sure to get to the group and join if you haven't - voting will start on Friday, more likely than not.

Otherwise, I fixed the weapons page after an overwrite disaster, and fixed the email links in that area to lead to my gmail addy.

A few quick updates on this side tonight, as my main focus was the VV area:
-- I uploaded a few new pieces of art to the gallery. Hope you have a sense of humor!
-- The media area got some minor tweaking done to it. But best of all, I finally got an audio ripping program that didn't rip dvd sound as if it was voiced by the chipmunks...so at long last the audio section debuts!
-- The links got a new addition to them in the form of ebon drakes latest site venture, Lions of the Cosmos.
-- I updated The Voltron Fandom Awards page slightly to reflect a voting phase promo, though no exact date has been set yet. We do have our nominees, but I'm still cross referencing, linking, and making sure things qualify. So hopefully that list will be up soon for all to look over.
In other notes, if you haven't been by the message board you didn't see this announcement - I finally fixed the fan list. Seems after my move to a new server, the members list didn't want to display. You also might want to pop by the message board and give your thoughts on what should be on WEP's soon-to-be-revamped Voltron official site...their designers popped by to pick our brains, so let us not disappoint :)

First update of a new year!
-- First, I updated the FAQ a bit, including info on what the little promo button in the footer is for. If you're looking for site hosting, you can help this page out by using that button as I get free months of hosting tacked on for each referral I send their way. The FAQ explains it all.
-- I tweaked my contact page to include a link to my new personal web site - just in case you care for more insight into yours truly ;)
-- A donor kindly sent me a nice Voltron wallpaper which I added to the site.
-- The move to a new host affords me not only more chances to host other people's fan stuff, but I also moved all my media files back on my own server...plus, I re-ripped all the show clips anew from the aussie DVDs, and uploaded them here. The GoLion opening also got a re-do, and I also added a new clip in the GoLion section, of the closing credits. The music videos will take more effort to re-do, so for now, I just moved them and tried to make sure the zip files compressed correctly.
-- I fixed the chat portal after the old applet went ka-blooie. It should work fine now.
-- I majorly overhauled my links page - now both sides of Voltron Central will share one page for links, and the links are more extensive and lack descriptions. They do, however, have a handy icon code of sorts to help you discover what each page offers in a nutshell. Contact me if you want your link to appear there. Also, I added a page that you can access from the links page that will allow you to easily save a banner and link back to me.
-- We're trying to organize as a fandom and do what will hopefully by an annual event called The Voltron Fandom Awards. We started the nomination phase the other day, so if you'd like to join and nominte your favorite fan-generated work on the Web, we'd love to see you there.
-- Lastly, I tossed up a page that will hold extended notes and musings on my current/existing fan fiction as well as notes on things in the works. Why not?
