Summary: The premise from reviews and early script snippets released so far seems to be this: Post-apocolyptic Earth, which has been under heavy attack from alien invaders called the Drules. Those that would be the Voltron Force are scrapping to survive with the rest of the population, until they meet up with Allura and Coran, who turn out to have what the Drules are looking for - five robot lion keys. They flee from New York City to Mexico before the final showdown between robeast and Voltron. Characters from Vehicle Voltron seem to make brief appearances, and as far as anyone can tell, Drules or Doomites are not shown. Only their robeasts make a showing in this installment.
