5. The Princess Joins Up

Zarkon is infuriated that Voltron has returned and chews out Yurak and Hagar quite a bit. He then tries to relax by watching some good old fashioned gratuitous violence in the arena. The survivor of the arena carnage is taken and made into a Robeast.

Meanwhile, the Voltron Force tries to coax Arus' frightened citizens out of their caves with little results. Those efforts are cut short when Zarkon's forces attack. The lions launch and are soon confronted by a Robeast. Even after they form Voltron, the team takes quite a beating from the Robeast. Meanwhile, Yurak hits the castle with everything he's got. With what's left of the castle being destroyed, Coran and the Princess flee below to Alfor's tomb and pray. Alfor appears and tells Allura to press the center of the crest on his coffin. Upon doing so, a new castle appears amid the crumbling ruins of the old one. After everyone gets over the shock of this miracle, Allura mans one of the guns and helps Voltron defend the castle. This affords Voltron a chance to grab his sword and finish off the Robeast. (One goof is at the end: when Allura is thinking about how grateful she is to the Voltron Force, we're shown shots of each member atop his own Lion - but instead of Sven on the Blue Lion, we see Allura...even though she hasn't joined the team yet!)
