14. Yurak Gets His Pink Slip

This one opens with Yurak leading a fleet to Arus, only to have the Lions waiting to dish out a good pounding. Adding insult to injury, they didn't even form Voltron to send him away in defeat.

Back on Doom, Zarkon is ready to literally give Yurak a severance package (heh heh). But then, the King's son, Lotor, arrives home from his various galactic adventures. Lotor prevents Zarkon from offing Yurak - instead suggesting he be turned into a Robeast.

Then, Lotor himself goes to Arus presumably to show all the idiot Doomites how taking over a world is done. Hovering outside the castle, the Voltron Force glares at Lotor sitting in his ship - and of course, this is the first time the Prince of Doom has laid eyes on Allura as an adult. And yes, he's rather taken with her beauty. He challenges Keith to a duel - winner take all, including Allura.

At sunset, Keith rides off to a remote cliff where he faces off in a sword duel with Lotor. Just when it looks like Keith has Lotor defeated, Lotor grabs a rock and bashes him in the side of the head which sends him plummeting down the steep slope of the cliff.

So, the rest of the team launch the Lions and in response, Lotor launches a super-sized Yurak. As the Lions battle, Keith wakes up and tries to get back to the Castle as fast as his steed will carry him even though he's injured.

The part where Yurak wraps the four Lions in chains and whips them around over his head is awesome. But of course, Black Lion shows up, Voltron is formed and...well, Yurak gets fired in the most literal of ways. Ah well.
