Background: Coran is an elder in the Castle of Lions who takes on a groundkeeper-type of duties as well as serving as the young Allura's chief advisor. He made a solemn promise to King Alfor that he would keep his daughter, Allura, safe. It's also revealed at one point, that he had a wife and baby son he sent away when Zarkon started attacking Arus, and Haggar used that bit of history against him when she sent a fake son to gain his trust.
Basic Personality: Coran is proper, duty bound, and often the level-headed voice of reason - although sometimes he loses faith too soon. He's a fatherly figure, to both Allura and as an extention, to the young Voltron Force.
