Lion Voltron Mary Sue Litmus Test Wonder if your Original Character in your Voltron Fan Fiction masterpiece is a Mary Sue? Check any and all answers that apply below to find out. In the case that nothing applies to your character in a given group of questions, you must check the 'None of the above applies to my OC' option for the script to work. Count any "maybe”, "sort of”, "kind of”, or "in a way” answers as a "yes”, and check it. If you can't give it a definitive "no,” or have to justify why it is a "no,” then it is a "yes!” Remember, rationalizing your Mary Sue will not make it not be any less of one. A Mary Sue in denial is far more painful than a Mary Sue who knows what he/she is and deals with it accordingly. Section 1: All about me! Or the character, anyway. Fun with names! (Check this even if you already checked the prior similar question) Would you give a child or pet this name? Does the name bear more than a passing resemblance to an existing canon character? None of the above apply to my OC Is it a total self-insertion? Does this character's name get used in the title of your story, or in a long story, is the name featured in chapter titles? None of the above apply to my OC More about the character. Is this OC: [Check all that apply] Central to the role of other OC's in the story? For instance, can you not introduce Character X until the OC is written in because Character X is OC's sibling/child/parent/lover/ex-lover and doesn't know any of the canon characters? Are you, the author, and the OC the same gender? Extraordinarily good looking, adorable, and/or imposing? (if you manage to incorporate all 3, I want to see a picture of this character.) For instance, stronger than Hunk, wittier than Lance, more compassionate or beautiful than Allura, more handsome than Keith, or a better swordsman than Lotor? A witch, wizard, mage or possessor of other magical abilities? Equal to or more powerful than Haggar's? Does he/she not know that he/she has this power when the story begins and finds out later? None of the above apply to my OC Psychic, empathic, clairvoyant, or have any other telepathic mental abilities? Equal to or stronger than Merla's? And can also resist Merla's hypnotic suggestions? For instance, a character that can fix the lions or treat wounds but is not an electrician or a medic? Someone that can heal wounds at a thought or a touch? Get introduced on the first page of a short story or first chapter of a long one? ) And start out in the "real world” only to arrive in the Voltron universe through a magic portal or time-shift?
